Dussehra celebrated on 10th day of the month of Ashvini. On this day, evil was defeated. This year Dussehra will be celebrated on 12th October, Saturday. It is believed that on this day Lord Rama achieved victory by killing Ravana. Since then, on the day of Dussehra, effigies of Ravana are burnt and Lord Rama is worshipped.
